A visit to the 80+ degree butterfly house was just what our chilly bodies needed after all this snow!
Today's snow day activity is watercolors - experimenting with blending colors, and then they taped them up all over the house for an art gallery tour.
I have thoroughly enjoyed our snow days over the past week, and I'll be a little sad to see it go. There's something so peaceful about it. Even with four kids in the house, life feels more calm. Coloring and drawing for days and days through our snowy weather. She's drawing pictures and scenes from a book series they've all been reading (Warrior Cats). If I ever had any doubt about reading comprehension, this tells me all I need to know.
Crazy Snow Dog
A large hawk spotted in our backyard arboretum this morning.
